Baileys trail system
Chauncey, Ohio
Located in the heart of Southeast Ohio, the Baileys Trail System has 76 miles of trail and will eventually total 88 miles. The trail system features green, blue and black trails making it suitable for all skill levels of riding. While these trails are designed with mountain biking in mind, they are also permitted for hiking, running and walking.
Two of the three main trailheads in Chauncey and Doanville are completed, while construction is underway on the third location in Buchtel. You can also access trails throughout the system by parking along the side of the roads where trails intersect. In addition, a connection is being built to the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway.
The Baileys Trail System closes to cycling in the winter, but remains open year-round for other trail uses.
Strouds run State Park
Athens, Ohio
Explore over 26 miles of singletrack that wrap all the way around Dow Lake and connect the City of Athens with Strouds Run State Park. This trail system is accessible from Sells Park in Athens and from trailheads at Strouds Run State Park.
Lake hope State Park
McArthur, Ohio
With more than 25 miles of singletrack open to mountain bikes, there are plenty of riding options at Lake Hope. Eight biking trails cross hills and ravines, offering challenges suited to intermediate and advanced cyclists.
